On Wednesday 25th April 2018, to mark the Panchen Lama’s 29th Birthday, Tashi Lhunpo Monastery will make an attempt to break the record for the largest number of candles alight on a birthday cake at the same time.
The current record is 72,585. We will attempt to light 130,000 candles to represent the heartfelt wish of all Tibetans in exile for justice and freedom for the Panchen Lama.
