“I would like to gladly appreciate Tashi Lhunpo Monastery for commemorating the 33rd birth anniversary of 11th Panchen Lama in New York.
Despite the unique relationship between successive Dalai Lamas and Panchen Lamas, consecutive Panchen Lamas have maintained Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, built by the 1st Dalai Lama. Personally, the 10th Panchen Lama and I have shared great special bond.
Following the untimely departure of the 10th Panchen Lama from this world, I have a spiritual obligation and historical responsibility to recognise the next Panchen Lama, which I have accomplished.
Unfortunately, the political hurdle has forced him into captivity. But, as an altruistic Bodhisattva, there is no doubt that his actions benefit others. Therefore, on his 33rd birthday, I pray to see and hear from him as soon as possible.”
